[Youtube commenter Zachary E says - “Gender equality has already been established. The original women’s rights movement would be against everything you feminazis are saying”]

I had stupidly decided to watch the Blurred Lines video, and I wanted to both cry from anger and vomit. I again stupidly decided to see the comments, I saw other comments but THIS, I am just so angry, but I can’t put it into words. Mods do you have anything to say to this?

If today’s world is this asshat’s idea of gender equality, then it’s pretty clear where his priorities lie. Also, that song/video is about how consent is a blurred line. His comment is creepy and suggests that he’s a potential rapist.
- Main Mod.Can someone explain to me why people think “The original feminists would be ashamed of you!” is somehow hurtful? The “original women’s rights movement” was racist and transphobic (not that feminism now isn’t), and you know, things change. Do these people seriously expect women today to just keep saying the same things when things are not the same now? And exactly why do these people think they know for a fact how the “original feminists” would feel? How is “The original feminists would be okay with someone encouraging rape!”, if it were true, going to convince anyone to follow their lead?- Mod D.
